Moinhos da Chinchila

The house is located four kilometers from the center of Monção, towards the municipality of Melgaço. An old mill dating from the 18th century has become a perfect country retreat where calm, warmth and good taste prevail. The rehabilitation respected the characteristics of the old building, transforming it into an idyllic place with original stone walls and natural water courses that can be enjoyed from the interior of the house, surrounded by a spacious surrounding area. The interior decoration has been carefully planned and every piece of furniture insightfully selected by its owners. “Moinhos da Chinchila” retains all traces of rurality but with all the amenities and comforts of a 21st century house.

The house consists of three bedrooms, two of them with double bed and one with two single beds. It has three bathrooms, a large living and dining room with 80 m2, another living / reading room and a fully equipped kitchen. The whole house has hot and cold air conditioning. Wide outdoor space with garden. Because of the old windmills, a stream of water runs beneath the house, visible in the living and in one of the bedrooms which have glass floors.
