Casas da Serra Tavira

Hidden in the peaceful landscape of the Eastern Algarve, ten kilometres from Tavira and eight from the sea, Casas da Serra Tavira are an exemplary project of responsible rehabilitation and the perfect place for an authentic and individual holiday. Surrounded by carob trees and century-old olive trees, the houses have been restored in collaboration with local craftsmen, recreating the unique simplicity of the old whitewashed houses of the Daroeira mountain village. Fully equipped and with ample outside spaces, the two large houses have their own swimming pool in the middle of nature, while the smaller ones, located on the slope of the hill, have large panoramic terraces. The nearest beach is “Fábrica”, considered one of the last untouched beaches in Europe.

Serro da Volta, an old agricultural house with a barn turned into a loft and a huge tank in the middle of nature. With two independent buildings and several terraces, this is the ideal house for a multigenerational holiday. Maximum 10 people.

Casa do Troco, an old trading house with barber and ballroom, where the inhabitants of the neighbouring hills gathered around an accordion player. Today it is a spacious house with a swimming pool, an old outside threshing floor and a giant cooking and dining space with a kitchen island that invites you to cook with friends. Maximum 9 people.
Monte do Cansado and Casa do Pátio: in the heart of the village, these two old houses built on the hillside have a large kitchen room and two double bedrooms each. With their high and walled-in terraces and porches, these houses offer an individual and secluded space with superb views over the peaceful valleys and hills. Maximum 4 people each.
