Casa do Governador is a centenary farm with approximately 30 hectares in an area of ecological reserve, just 2 km from the center of Évora and 500m from Convento do Espinheiro.
The main house was an infirmary and quarantine site for the former friars of Convento do Espinheiro. It has been renewed since 2012, maintaining its original features with a contemporary rustic decor. Through the adaptation, reuse and use of existing materials, in a family home, it was possible to obtain unique and original solutions linked to the history of the House.
Casa do Governador offers 12 rooms exclusively for you, with all the services you can find in your home: air conditioning, central heating, Wi-Fi, swimming pools, bar and parking.
At Casa do Governador it is possible to take horse carriage rides through the farm, passing through various points of interest, with an explanation of their history, wine tasting with regional products and also excursions to the region’s wineries and places of historical interest.

The CASA do GOVERNADOR is an all year destiny that offer a long list of activities that can be enjoyed in and outside the property, including riding bicycles, horse-riding, cultural visits included in historic programs and area wineries, but also food tastings in one of the many local restaurants with products from the region or wine tasting in the Alentejo cellars. You can also take a dip in the pool of natural stone. After a long day of sightseeing, you can enjoy a candle-light dinner in the cozy dining room, where the fire cracckling fireplace complements our menu with traditional menu, creating the perfect setting for an evening at home.
