Aldeia de São Gregório

With its origins dating back to the 16th century, Aldeia de São Gregório is an oasis in Alentejo region, in a unique landscape surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old olive trees.

It is located on a hill, with Serra D´ Ossa as a background and it’s the ideal starting point for visiting the historic towns surrounding the Aldeia such as Évora, Estremoz, Borba, Vila Viçosa and Monsaraz or any of the emblematic castles and fortresses nearby.

Other activities suitable for those visiting the Aldeia are wine tourism, hiking, cycling, bird watching, star gazing, or just letting yourself be and absorbing and discovering the flavors and knowledge of Alentejo way of life.

After a day of sightseeing or other activities, nothing better than coming back and being able to cool off in the Aldeia swimming-pool and then relax in the sun or in the shade of the trees by the pool.

The traditional whitewashed houses with blue or red bars surrounding its windows and doors, have lovely cosy interiors, decorated according the local style.

The houses are full equipped to provide all amenities and have an outdoor area to relax and enjoy wonderful and peaceful days, side by side with nature.

​In the central courtyard and upon previous request, we can provide meals, giving our guests the opportunity to delight themselves with the Alentejo’s gastronomy delicacies and the taste of its famous wines.
